Portraits: Robbie + Isabella

It's no secret that I love kids. I love how unpredictable and fun they are. I had so much fun shooting these two. That little Robbie gave me quite a workout. He was a little reluctant to have his picture taken, but still managed to stay still long enough to get a few cute pics of him. Isabella, such a great assistant, was so easy going and did so much to help reign him in. We played tag and chase, and damn I was sweating by the end of the session!! These two are so cute and as you can see from the pics, soooo photogenic.

What I'm Lovin' Right Now: Pinterest

If you don't know about Pineterest, you've got to head over there and check it out! It's addicting I tell you!! It's so fun to "pin" things you find on the web and save them to your own boards. I love to use it to pin photos I find online with photography ideas or poses, colors, fashion ideas - the list goes on! I even use it to pin things like what I'm going to buy when I win the lottery...lol.

Anyway, head over there and request an invitation! Find and follow me! I guarantee you'll be pinning away in no time!

Happy Friday!

Family: The Moreiras

I have a special place in my heart for this family. Not just because they happen to be MY family (lol) but because my nephew Orlando and my niece Isabel were the first kids I ever photographed when I first started this whole photography adventure. At the time, I had my XTi and a kit lens. I needed some guinea pigs to practice with, and my cousin Karina was more than willing to let me photograph her "rugrats". I will always remember how I had so much fun chasing them around the park. Isabel was only about 18 months old at the time was the cutest thing ever. Ahem, she still is...lol...Orlando, ever the ham, had me chase him around the park and stopped for an occasional pose before making me chase him again.

Fast forward to now, and here we are again, only this time with a new addition to the family - Samuel. My brother and I grew up with Karina and her sisters and brother, so were are more like siblings than cousins. And she has grown up to be such a strong and loving mother. I sometimes still see her as a shy, sensitive, skinny little thing that liked playing with Barbies, and it's still weird to be here looking at pictures of HER family. Damn I feel really old now...lol

Kari, thank you for letting me photograph your rugrats again, and this time adding you, Eddie and Sam to the mix. I love you so much and I'm so proud of the woman you have become.

Meet Sam.

I love me some baby feet.

I mean, come on. Just beautiful.

I think Orlando lives in pose mode...lol

Quinceañera: Jacky's Masquerade

I'm excited to be posting pictures from this past weekend's Quince. The family was warm and welcoming, and Jacky was such a doll to work with. She was easy going and loving every second of her special day. Here are some pictures of the event. Thank you, Jacky and family, for having me there for this special day!

We took her portraits at Kelley Park in San Jose and they have such a beautiful Japanese garden!

Jacky wanted to head outside after the mass ended for some fun pictures
